Programme notes
Adviser's notes in preparation
The unit structure, entry requirements and Ofqual details below are taken directly from the OTHM specification. What is not yet here is our own account as independent advisers: who the programme suits, how LSPM sequences the units, what the assignments involve and where it realistically leads. It is being written from the specification and from what LSPM and past learners have told us.
Until then, the fastest way to find out whether it fits is to ask. We reply within two working days, and we will put anything we cannot answer to LSPM for you.

Entry requirements
Who can enrol
OTHM sets the entry requirements and London School of Planning and Management, the approved centre, applies them. As published in the specification:
- A minimum of a Level 6 qualification such as the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Level 6 qualification; or
- An honours degree (2.2) with relevant knowledge and experience in the occupational health and safety sector
- Learners must be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course.
Entry requirements from the official specification. If you are not sure whether your qualification counts as equivalent, send us the details and we will ask LSPM to check with the awarding body.
Assessment
Written assignments, no examinations
Your tutor at LSPM marks the work and gives written feedback. OTHM then externally verifies a sample of marked work to confirm the standard is being applied consistently. A unit is passed when all of its criteria are met.
Real learner quotation to be supplied. This slot must not be published until a named graduate has given written consent.
