Programme notes

Adviser's notes in preparation

The unit structure, entry requirements and Ofqual details below are taken directly from the Qualifi specification. What is not yet here is our own account as independent advisers: who the programme suits, how LSPM sequences the units, what the assignments involve and where it realistically leads. It is being written from the specification and from what LSPM and past learners have told us.

Until then, the fastest way to find out whether it fits is to ask. We reply within two working days, and we will put anything we cannot answer to LSPM for you.

Structure

Five units, all mandatory

All five units are mandatory. Qualifi publishes the diploma's total of 120 credits; the data we hold does not state a per-unit credit value, so the table shows titles only and the specification is the authority.

Entry requirements

Who can enrol

Qualifi sets the entry requirements and London School of Planning and Management, the approved centre, applies them. As published in the specification:

  • Learners who possess qualifications at Level 4 and/or;
  • Learners who have some technical and risk management work experience in a computing or security business environment and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals;
  • Learners who possess a Level 5 qualification in another discipline and want to develop their careers in cyber security and/or risk management.

Entry requirements from the official specification. If you are not sure whether your qualification counts as equivalent, send us the details and we will ask LSPM to check with the awarding body.

Assessment

Written assignments, no examinations

Your tutor at LSPM marks the work and gives written feedback. Qualifi then externally verifies a sample of marked work to confirm the standard is being applied consistently. A unit is passed when all of its criteria are met.

How assessment, feedback and resubmission work in full.
