Level 7 diplomas in Accounting and Finance

For finance professionals moving from reporting the numbers to shaping the decisions behind them.

Our view

What this group covers, and what it does not

The Level 7 finance diplomas here are written for people who already work with accounts, audit, lending or investment and want a postgraduate-level qualification that reflects that. Two of the four are broad accounting and finance programmes, one from each awarding body, covering corporate reporting, investment analysis, strategic financial management and audit. The other two are narrower: asset-based lending for people in commercial credit, and family office and wealth inheritance management for advisers working with private capital. None of them is a route to a chartered accountancy designation on its own, and each page says so. What they do offer is a structured way to think at board level about capital, risk and value, with credits a university may count towards a master's in finance or an MBA.
